Two Nigerian-born entrepreneurs have launched a new African and Caribbean takeaway app.
Kesiena Ogefere and Abbey Cassanova both worked in Human Resources and decided to launch Afrotakeaway after noticing a gap in the market. The businesswomen, wanted to highlight the diverse and delicious food from Africa and the Caribbean and allow cuisine from both regions to be celebrated.

My London, Ms Cassanova said: “We had a craving for Jollof rice and none of the items on the menu at the restaurant at work had what we wanted.
“We started to search on one of the apps and it took us such a long time to get to one of the vendors that had Jollof right so we thought there’s obviously a gap here. The food is amazing, African and Caribbean, why isn’t it accessible?”
