Bring back Naija film producers Actress Gifty Asante

For some players in the Ghanaian movie industry, Nigerian producers were a part of one of the success spells of the industry in the early 2000s.
In their view, the blending of Ghanaian and Nigerian cast and crew on movies was very successful and opened doors for both sides. However, over the years, for whatever reasons, the Nigerians have left the industry for Ghanaian producers.
Actress Gifty Asante is one of those players who believe that the absence of the Nigerian producers has been detrimental to the industry and they need to return although others do not agree with her.
The 2021 edition of the prestigious Black Star International Film Festival (BSIFF) has officially kicked off with the announcement of submissions for the festival.
Filmmakers are expected to submit their works for consideration before the deadline on March 31, 2021.
The BSIFF 2021 will continue from a stellar digital event held in 2020, according to organisers.
The official date for the main event is yet to be confirmed and also whether it will be a virtual event like the previous year.
The BEIFF is a non-profit annual festival founded by Juliet Asante in 2015 to bridge the gap between African movie cinema and the global community of movie makers as well as focus on the business aspect of film making.

Organisers of the
Black Star International Film Festival (BSIFF) has officially kicked off this year’s event with the call for submissions.
Filmmakers are being asked to submit their works for consideration from now till Tuesday, March 31, 2021.
Last year, the event which started in 2015 was held virtually and even though organisers are yet to give a date for this year’s edition, they are also yet to confirm whether it will be virtual again.
