The scheme, which provides support for young people aged 16-26 to study and gain agricultural qualifications, closes for applications at 6pm on April 15. It is open to those who live, study or work in the Highlands and Islands or have strong connections to the area.

Applications for awards are being invited from young people wishing to study and gain qualifications in a farming or agriculturally-related subject. Courses can either be educational or vocational. Applications must be made by April 15. The bursary is open to those between the ages of 16 to 26 who live, study or work in the Highlands or have strong connections to the area.

The Black Isle Farmers Society announced today that the Black Isle Show – due to have been held on August 5 this year – has been cancelled.
