Meet them here! RED AND BLUE Red and Blue were two Gypsy Cobs abandoned three years ago on the fells at a very young age. They were in poor condition when they first arrived, especially Blue who was quite underweight. The Equine Team initially just spent time getting them used to being handled and wearing head collars and teaching them how to be calm for vets and the farrier. Over the last few months their caseworkers started teaching them how to accept tack (saddle and bridle) and to get used to someone on their backs. Both ponies have developed fantastically well with Blue even winning a rosette in a local dressage test. Not bad for such a young and green pony. In fact they have both done so well in learning to be ridden ponies that a local riding school, Blackdyke, has taken them on to use at the school. John and Ann, the owners of Blackdyke Farm Riding Centre, will continue Red and Blue’s education and ultimately the boys will be used to educate the next generatio
