BLACKBURN with Darwen has three vaccination centres and five coronavirus testing centres. For immunisation jabs residents will be contacted by letter, email or a text message from the NHS inviting them to book an appointment. They should not seek inoculations without being asked. The three vaccination centres are Blackburn Cathedral, the Barbara Castle Way Health Centre and Darwen Health Centre. Two of the Covid-19 testing centres offer quick-turnaround SMART testing for people without symptoms who have to leave their home to work during the lockdown.They should get tested at least once a week. The SMART ‘lateral flow’ tests are available at Ewood Park’s Darwen End from 1am to 6.30pm and King George’s Hall in Blackburn town centre from 10am to 5.30pm.
