Health bosses have apologised after dozens of elderly people were left to queue for hours in the cold at a Covid-19 vaccination centre.
Kathryn Holden said it was an utter shambles as she waited for three hours for the jab at Blackburn Cathedral.
Lancashire s vaccination director Jane Scattergood said a marquee and heaters had since been installed.
But she urged people to turn up for appointments on time as some had been as much as two hours early .
She said: We ve tried to get as many people through as possible. We recognise people are really keen to get this vaccine.

BLACKBURN with Darwen has three vaccination centres and five coronavirus testing centres. For immunisation jabs residents will be contacted by letter, email or a text message from the NHS inviting them to book an appointment. They should not seek inoculations without being asked. The three vaccination centres are Blackburn Cathedral, the Barbara Castle Way Health Centre and Darwen Health Centre. Two of the Covid-19 testing centres offer quick-turnaround SMART testing for people without symptoms who have to leave their home to work during the lockdown. They should get tested at least once a week. The SMART ‘lateral flow’ tests are available at Ewood Park’s Darwen End from 1am to 6.30pm and King George’s Hall in Blackburn town centre from 10am to 5.30pm.
