That the case with the latest from Dutch designer Pieter Van Geest of Van Geest Design, a superyacht dubbed Pebble. Measuring 459 feet (140 meters), this concept superyacht would be best described as poetry in (virtual) motion and the perfect vessel for a millionaire with a green conscience and the desire to slip away unnoticed.
Privacy is a common theme with Van Geest designs. After all, when you’re incredibly rich and probably incredibly famous, you come to value the things we have come to take for granted, like the love of your family and privacy. Or so the story goes.
You’re only as good at something as the limits you set for yourself. So here’s another instance of an Instagrammer that goes from posting about superyachts to creating one out of thin air.

They’re also called superyacht explorers, a term that perfectly embodies their duality: while capable of reaching the farthest regions of the world, they provide the same luxury amenities found on a regular superyacht so they can easily double as vacation charters. Even by this definition, XVenture is in a class of its own.

Not with this one, though. Designer Valerio Rivellini of Studio Tecnico Rivellini unveiled a new superyacht concept that puts all Transformer cars to shame. It’s a shape-shifting, 184-foot (65-meter) vessel that’s part superyacht, part explorer, and all pure luxury.
Here is the aptly titled Extended Explorer.
Designed as a family boat that would reach even the most remote locations in the world, this 184-footer breathes luxury, efficiency, and competence. It’s designed with military-derived features that render it incredibly versatile, regardless of weather and sea locations. At the same time, it’s ultra-luxurious and disposes of more available space than any other vessel in its class. The number of catamarans being built is on the rise, which signals a shift in the popularity of multi-hulls. Catamarans and trimarans are exclusive vessels on their own, but this concept takes it up a notch – right up there into baller territory.

Multi-hulls present a series of advantages over single-hulls, with smoother sailing, more stability, higher efficiency, and faster speeds being among them.
