ST. LOUIS St. Louis is proud of its culinary heritage, and rightfully so. Now, the Lou has caught the attention of food critic Daym Drops who gained his popularity in 2009 doing fast food reviews with one video getting more than 10 million views.
Fast forward 12 years and he is now the host of the soon-to-be launched Netflix series Fresh, Fried and Crispy and he is giving our city high marks.

ST. LOUIS This weekend may mark a milestone for the St. Louis restaurant industry. Mother’s Day, on Sunday, could be restaurants’ first big day since COVID-19 struck, along with its restrictions.
The owner of Nathaniel Reid’s Bakery in Kirkwood politely declined to discuss Mother’s Day preparations, early Saturday morning. The line of customers waiting to get in explained why.
At Grace Meat + Three in the Grove, social distancing will be in place in the dining room for Mother’s Day, and staff is stocking up on hot honey and barbecue sauce.
Planter s House in Lafayette Square is currently at 50% capacity.
Because the requirement to space tables and parties 6 feet apart is still in place, owner Ted Kilgore feels like they can t bring in much more. Really, for us, it s not going to change much. We may be able to squeeze in a couple more seats here and there, Kilgore said.
It won t stay open too late either, just extending an extra hour to its closing time. During the week, it ll now be until 11 p.m. and on the weekends until midnight.
Rick Lewis, owner of Grace Meat + Three in the Grove, explained he ll stay around that 50% limit, too.
