ALLEN PARK The Detroit Lions activated third-round rookie edge rusher Julian Okwara from injured reserve per the league’s transaction wire.
Okwara has been out of action since suffering a leg injury against the Jacksonville Jaguars back in Week 6. The rookie went on injured reserve, returning to practice earlier this month. He’s logged 30 defensive snaps in four games, failing to record a single statistic along the way.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. Matthew Stafford is one of the great iron men to ever play the quarterback position in the NFL. On Sunday, he will add another feat of toughness to his already impressive resume.
Stafford will start on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, despite tearing the cartilage in the left side of his ribs just one week ago. He was in so much pain that his body was spasming and locking up, forcing him to the bench for the offense’s final series against Green Bay. He didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday either, but the pain subsided enough for him to make a limited return to practice on Friday.
NASHVILLE – The long wait has ended.
Cornerback Adoreé Jackson will make his 2020 debut Sunday when the Tennessee Titans (9-4) face the Detroit Lions (5-8) on Sunday at Nissan Stadium.
The 2017 first-round pick was not among the Titans’ seven inactives as he had been for the previous five games. He also missed the first eight because he was on injured reserve. He came off injured reserve on Nov. 11 but did not begin to practice until nearly a month later. He was a limited participant in practice every day this week and was listed as “questionable” on Friday’s injury report.
Finally, though, the question of when he finally will play this season has been answered.
