For­eign and CARI­COM Af­fairs Min­is­ter Dr Amery Browne ac­com­pa­nied by Am­bas­sador of Trinidad and To­ba­go to the Caribbean Com­mu­ni­ty Frances Seignoret and Prin­ci­pal Phar­ma­cist (Ag) at the Min­istry of Health Ane­sa Dood­nath-Si­boo, re­ceived the vac­cines at Pi­ar­co In­ter­na­tion­al Air­port.

T&T ready to help St Vincent by 20210409 The Caribbean Com­mu­ni­ty (CARI­COM) has mo­bilised ef­forts to sup­port St Vin­cent and the Grenadines in the face of the im­mi­nent erup­tion of the La Soufriere Vol­cano. Chair­man of CARI­COM and Trinidad and To­ba­go Prime Min­is­ter Dr Kei­th Row­ley yes­ter­day said fol­low­ing the evac­u­a­tion or­der of the im­me­di­ate area around the vol­cano by St Vin­cent and the Grenadines Prime Min­is­ter Dr Ralph Gon­salves, the CARI­COM Mem­ber States had of­fered sup­port to house evac­uees from the af­fect­ed area.

CARPHA increases testing capacity for COVID-19 Virus by 20210226 Caribbean Pub­lic Health Agency (CARPHA) has re­ceived new lab­o­ra­to­ry equip­ment which will sig­nif­i­cant­ly en­hance its COVID 19 test­ing ca­pa­bil­i­ty. The equip­ment was made pos­si­ble through fund­ing do­nat­ed to CARPHA by the Agence Française de Développe­ment (AFD, or French De­vel­op­ment Agency in Eng­lish) dur­ing a han­dover cer­e­mo­ny at the CARPHA Head­quar­ters in Port of Spain, on Tues­day 23rd Feb­ru­ary 2021.  The event was al­so at­tend­ed by Mem­bers and Rep­re­sen­ta­tives of the AFD-CARPHA Project Steer­ing Com­mit­tee, in­clud­ing rep­re­sen­ta­tives of the French Re­gion­al Health Agen­cies of Mar­tinique and Guade­loupe as well as the French Pub­lic Health Agency, and CARPHA Staff.
