MR340 brings paddlers, supporters together

MR340 brings paddlers, supporters and community together COLUMBIA — Three days, 340 miles, hundreds of paddlers, safety boats, ground support teams, volunteers and crowds from different cities. What do all of these things have in common? MR340, the longest nonstop canoe and kayak race in the world.  The race began in Kansas City on Tuesday; paddlers will travel on the Missouri River all the way to St. Charles.  There are multiple checkpoints and different stops paddlers can choose to take a break at. However, this race is different because it does not require the competitors to stop.  There are 13 different divisions that competitors could choose to compete in.
