Essex County council has given a thumbs-up to a regional energy plan aimed at addressing climate change issues and reducing the local cost and consumption of energy.
The plan, which calls for an increase in community-wide energy efficiency of at least 50 per cent over 2019 levels by 2041 and a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of at least 60 per cent over that same period, was supported in principle in a vote last week.
