In a letter to the CM dated March 6, 2021, Raj Thackeray wrote that if Maharashtra has to rise above the coronavirus inflicted financial strain, then the
Konkan and the state can’t afford to let go off the Ratnagiri Rajapur Refinery project.
He said the project will not only benefit the Konkan region but the entire state.
“For Maharashtra’s long-term gains, the state government needs to handle this matter in accordance with the welfare of all,” he tweeted along with the letter.
“I am writing to you, to draw your attention to a rather sensitive matter; keeping in mind the present and future of not only the Konkan region but our entire Maharashtra state. You are the chief leader of our state and hence, I appeal to you, to give this matter serious thought,” he wrote.

Though it has brought the shutters down in the country’s financial capital, the management’s Rajesh Ramnani points out they would reopen in Mumbai if suitable premises can be found, in place of the one in Bandra that has been closed.
