TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - East Texas Nowâs Kayla Lyons spoke with Gloria Washington about this Saturdayâs second annual Bridging the Gap History Walk fundraiser.
Washington is executive director of the Texas African American Museum, sponsor of the event, and encouraged the community to take part in the walk, the proceeds of which will benefit the museum.

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Ginger Points, the environmental health director for the North East Texas Health District. spoke to East Texas Now host Kayla Lyons about some of the guidelines that are in place for restaurants operating under a boil water notice.
Points talked to Lyons about what East Texas restaurants are having to keep operating in cities and towns where a boil water notice is in effect. For example, with no running water, restaurants are not able to serve fountain drinks. They are only able to serve alcohol and bottled/canned drinks.

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Krista Sharp from the East Texas American Heart Association joined Kayla Lyons on East Texas Now to share heart-healthy tips.
Sharp said stress can be linked to high-blood pressure, also known as hypertension.
She suggested giving up poor choices like smoking or caffeine and replacing the cravings with good habits like taking a walk or exercise.
