Wayne County Justice facilities upgraded during the pandemic
Body scanner, new laundry facilities among the improvements
WOOSTER Wayne County Commissioners remain focused on a makeover of the Wayne County Justice System facilities.
The county dispatchers can finally see daylight in the new dispatch center on the second floor of the Justice Center, the former home of the Wooster Police Department. Dispatch had been located in the basement since the justice center opened in 1976.
“We upgraded the equipment a few years ago. With the water issues, it was obvious that was not a good place for them to be,” Commissioner Becky Foster said. “Plus, they just needed to get out of the basement.”

His focus remains creating change at the local level and not waiting for a presidential decree to do the work.
