The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) has no objection to an application by Lautoka-based businessman Ben Padarath for a protest permit for a march to create public awareness on the proposed Police Bill 2020 on March 20, 2021.
However, in a statement today, FRA acting chief executive officer Kamal Prasad said, however, that the approval of the march must be obtained from the Fiji Police Force prior to the event.
“The Fiji Police Force will be responsible for traffic management as well as the safety of the participants and the general public,” Mr Prasad said in the statement.
