The occasion served to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and plasma donations. For his donation, West joined Preslee s Plasma Posse, organized by 11-year-old Preslee Brown to help her father, Jeff, who suffers from a rare disorder that requires him to receive plasma transfusions.
