A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of affray and has been released with no further action.
Ch Supt Raj Kohli, commander of the central north unit, said: “A young person’s life has been taken and our thoughts are with his family and friends who have lost someone very special to them. I know our community will be shocked and upset by this incident. Our officers share your sadness, and we have a team dedicated to tracking down those who committed this. Detectives from our specialist crime command will be making extensive enquiries and I would ask anyone who does know something to come forward and share that information.
A teenager died after a stabbing in the Elthorne Estate

A teenager has died following a stabbing in the Elthorne Estate, Archway.
Police were called to Holland Walk, Islington, on Monday, January 25, at around 5.30pm to a report of a stabbing.
Officers attended with London Ambulance Service and the air ambulance, and found a teenage boy suffering from a stab injury.
Despite efforts to save him by emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene a short while later.
His next of kin has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers.
One male has been arrested on suspicion of affray.
A gun was recovered from an address in E3

A man has been arrested and a gun seized after a woman reported she had been threatened.
Police were called in the early hours of Wednesday, December 30 by a young woman who said she had been threatened by a man who produced a firearm from his bag after a meeting at a residential address in Whitechapel.
She said the man brandished it at her and warned her he would return again later with the boys .
Around 24 hours later, after a series of successful enquiries, a 28-year-old suspect was tracked down to an address in E3.
