Qatar participated in the Unesco Global Conference on Education for Sustainable Development, under the title ‘We learn for our planet, we work for sustainability’.
Representing Qatar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi; the Secretary General of Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science Dr. Hamada Hasan Al Sulaiti; and a number of ministry leaders, representatives from Qatar University (QU) and Hamad bin Khalifa University (HBKU) participated in the conference, as well as representatives of the affiliated schools of Unesco.

Doha: Qatar University (QU) Young Scientists Center (YSC), in cooperation with the Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science (QNCECS), recently concluded the third Youth Research Forum 2021 entitled “Identity and Cultural Tourism: Towards a Culture and a Sustainable Legacy.”
The honouring ceremony took place at Qatar University, under the patronage of the President of QU, Dr. Hassan Al Derham in the presence of Prof. Mariam Al Maadeed, VP for Research and Graduate studies at QU, while taking all precautionary measures for COVID-19.
Qatar concludes virtual seminar on UN Valuing Water report

Doha: Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science concluded a sub-regional virtual seminar on the occasion of the launch of the United Nations World Water Development Report 2021 (UN WWDR 2021) entitled “Valuing Water.”
Several institutions in the State, Unesco-Associated Schools, the National Commissions for Unesco in the GCC countries, and the Unesco World Water Assessment Program (WWAP) took part in the seminar, which was organized in cooperation with the Unesco Regional Office for the Gulf States and Yemen in Doha and Qatar University.
