yet another special-edition model to its Australian line-up, with the confirmation of local pricing and specification details for the
2021 Mini Paddy Hopkirk Edition.
Built to honour Irish rally driver Patrick Paddy Hopkirk and his win behind the wheel of a classic Mini Cooper S at the 1964 Monte Carlo Rally, the Paddy Hopkirk Edition is now available to order in Australia, with a choice of three body styles and engine combinations.

Mini Australia will release three Paddy Hopkirk Edition hot hatches next month, with the special trio getting retro styling that pays homage to the eponymous Irish driver’s famous win in the #37 entrant at the 1964 Monte Carlo Rally.
The Cooper S grade is available in 3-Door Hatch and 5-Door Hatch variants, which are priced from $54,800 and $56,400 plus-on road costs respectively and limited to 25 examples each, while the JCW grade is only offered in a $69,000 3-Door Hatch variant that’s restricted to 15 units.

The Monte Carlo Rally was at the top of the list when it came to our ‘Top 10 giant-killing MINI motorsport achievements’ in the lead up to the British brand’s 60th anniversary a couple of years ago.
At the 1964 rally, the original Mini burst onto the motor racing landscape with a thrilling victory, thanks to Paddy Hopkirk and Henry Liddon using the agile handling of the Cooper S to head more powerful Ford Falcon V8s on the tight turns above the Mediterranean principality.

Mini have unveiled their latest design, there are now models of the Mini 3 Door Hatch, Mini Electric and the Mini 5 Door Hatch.
There is now a larger black radiator grille on the front of the car and there are updated headlights and more, on the back there are updated lights and more.
The refreshed exterior of the MINI 3-Door Hatch, MINI Electric, MINI 5-Door Hatch and MINI Convertible models looks even more modern, with even more attention now focussed on the car’s central design features. The front-view is dominated by a larger radiator grille and its black, hexagonal surround, and the hallmark round MINI headlights. The position lights have been replaced by vertical air inlets to optimise aerodynamics and the central bumper strip is now in body colour, rather than black. A package of updates has been announced for the core Mini range, including the 3-Door Hatch, 5-Door Hatch, Electric and Convertible.
Exterior styling tweaks across the models include a larger radiator grille, new aerodynamically-optimised vertical air inlets, a body-colour central front bumper strip, new wheel arch contours, LED side indicators, and an integrated LED rear fog light.
New exterior paint colours and alloy wheel designs are also available, as is a new Multitone roof paint finish.
Inside, an 8.8in colour touchscreen - with an updated operating system - and piano black high-gloss surface are now standard, while buttons and air vents have been redesigned and chrome details have been replaced with black.
