Germany contracts Top Aces to deliver advanced airborne training

Germany has contracted Top Aces to deliver fast jet adversary air training services to its armed forces from 1 January 2022.

Announced by the Canadian-based contractor owned and contractor operated (COCO) company on 26 April, the contract is a follow-on award for Top Aces, which has been providing its services to the German armed forces over the previous six years.
“In support of the growing programme, we plan to increase our staffing levels in Germany, adding more than 20 highly skilled employment opportunities to the local economy,” Senior Program Manager, German Operations, at Top Aces, Rolf Brandt said.

A new private hangar complex will rise at Northern Colorado Regional Airport after Water Valley Land Co. and the Business Aviation Group (BAG) broke ground on the first phase of what is planned as Discovery Air, an eventual 29.5-acre development at the Fort Collins gateway.
Construction is slated to be completed by year-end on the first structure, an energy-efficient 30,000-sq-ft heated hangar with 28-foor-high doors, along with more than 8,000 sq ft of customizable tenant office space. According to BAG co-founder David Vaughn, the building is already 65 percent pre-leased.
LOVELAND An amended proposal from the developers of the Discovery Air business park at Northern Colorado Regional Airport is requesting to increase the amount of land under contract by more than 110,000 square feet.
NCRA executive director Jason Licon said the lease amendments were expected from the time that developer BA Group LLC first signed a 50-year lease on the property in January 2019 and weren’t directly caused by the financial chaos created by the pandemic.
BA had a two-year period for due-diligence and market research purposes and has now proposed a new lease agreement that would further stagger the lease increases baked into the original lease.
