Apple is investing $45 million to Corning Inc., the supplier of Gorilla Glass and iPhone 12 s Ceramic Screen. It comes amid the reports of a bendable iPhone, likely coming in 2023.
The Cupertino company announced that the latest investment from its Advanced Manufacturing Fund is on top of the $450 million that the precision glass manufacturer has received in the last four years.
Furthermore, Apple said that its move is meant to expand Corning s manufacturing capacity in the US. It also adds that the expansion anchors on the commitment of Apple and Corning to protecting the environment.

Mark Zuckerberg feared this, iOS 14.5 data shows Facebook users don t like to be tracked
Only around 4 per cent of iOS users in the US have opted-in for app tracking on the new iOS 14.5. This means the majority will not allow apps to map their behaviour across their phone activities, affecting the data collection for targeted advertisements.

App Tracking Transparency on iOS 14.5 lets users choose whether to allow app tracking across their phone activities or not.
The data collected from such tracking enables personalised advertisements.
Only 11 per cent of iOS users worldwide allowed the app tracking to work.
An analytics firm reported that a very small number of Apple mobile device users have agreed to allow apps to track them. The information comes two weeks after the widely anticipated and debated iOS 14.5 feature App Tracking Transparency was launched.
Most of iOS 14.5 reportedly opted out of app tracking
The full version of iOS 14.5 went live in late April with a slew of new features and updates for iPhone and iPad (iPadOS 14.5) users. However, it can be said that the implementation of the new App Tracking Transparency policy was one of the most anticipated among users.
Verizon Media’s Flurry Analytics now reports that only 13 percent of global mobile users have agreed to opt-in to app tracking since iOS 14.5 was released to the public. In the United States, only 5 percent of users have allowed apps to track them. Based on the graphs provided, these data come from a sample size of 5.3 million “daily mobile active users” with devices running on iOS 14.5.

The release of iOS 14.5 last month also marked the debut of App Tracking Transparency. Despite criticism from Facebook and other advertisers, Apple went ahead with the rollout of the feature. App Tracking Transparency will prevent iPhone apps from tracking you without your explicit permission.
Following the release of iOS 14.5, data collected by analytics firm Flurry pointed to 96% of the iPhone users in the US disabling app tracking. This means that an estimated 96% of iPhone users have prevented apps on their phone from tracking them after the release of iOS 14.5. The estimates were based on a sample size of 2.5 million daily mobile active users, so it likely paints an accurate picture. After all, there was a reason why Facebook was so heavily against App Tracking Transparency and even ran full-page newspaper ads criticizing it.
