Gardaí have arrested a man wanted in Northern Ireland on suspicion of the attempted murder of an off-duty PSNI officer in Derry in 2015.
The 33-year-old was arrested on foot of a European Arrest Warrant and has been formally extradited to Northern Ireland and into PSNI custody.
The arrest relates to the investigation into an under-vehicle bomb placed under a PSNI officer s car in Eglinton on 18 June 2015.
The murder bid was blamed on dissident republicans.
The man was detained on suspicion of the attempted murder of the police officer and possession of explosives with intent to endanger life.

Gardaí attached to specialist units have arrested a man in Naas.
The man was one of nine detained in operations conducted by members of the Garda Extradition Unit and Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
The arrests took place between Monday last and yesterday (December 23).
The arrest of a 39 year old male in Naas was for alleged false imprisonment and drugs offences in Poland.
Three arrests were made in Dublin and the others were detained in Longford, Dundalk, Wexford, Mullingar and Galway and they are aged between 28 and 52.
An Irish man wanted in the United States, where he was convicted of attempting to entice a child for indecent purposes after a police sting, was granted bail by the High Court today.
Martin Jude Wall (45) is wanted by the Chatham County Sheriff s office in Georgia after he allegedly breached the conditions of his release by fleeing to Ireland.
If found guilty of the breach in America, Wall faces a possible 15 years imprisonment, which is the length of his probation.
In February 2012, Wall pleaded guilty, through plea-bargain, to attempting to entice a child for indecent purposes after he sent a nude photo of himself from his phone through a chat-group to what he believed was a 13-year-old girl.
