Iranian Solo Country Exhibition opens today SHARE
MUSCAT: Activities of Iran solo country exhibition will kick off at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre on Monday under the patronage of Dr Ali bin Masoud al Sunaidy, Minister of Commerce and Industry, in the presence of Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh, Iranian Minister of Industry and Trade. The third edition of the exhibition is organised by Oman Expo in collaboration with the Iranian Embassy in the Sultanate. The five-day exhibition comes this year to boost commerce between the Sultanate and Iran, facilitate the development of business and investment prospects, and strengthen economic relations between the two countries.

Echoing the grand Victory Day military parade in Moscow s Red Square, Russia, almost 400 people gathered in Beijing, joining the Immortal Regiment march to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War.
Large number of descendants of Soviet Union and Chinese soldiers who took part in battles against Nazi Germany held up pictures of their relatives and friends during the march. They sang the well-known Russian song Katyusha and talked about the turbulent years and touching stories from the past.

Almost 7000 coronavirus jabs have been administered in Victoria since the state opened its vaccination hubs to everyone aged over 50.
Some 6923 vaccine doses were administered in the 24 hours to Tuesday morning across the state s 22 mass vaccination hubs, according to the health department.
The department said the number of reported doses was a 105 per cent increase on the same day last week.
More than 13,000 Victorians also called the state s booking hotline to make an appointment to have the jab.
The national vaccine rollout was expanded on Monday to include phase 2a, which includes anyone aged 50 or over as well as all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults aged between 18 and 49 years old.

The Victorian government has released a roadmap to help revitalise and grow the state’s tourism industry following the impacts of the bushfires and the global COVID-19 pandemic.
The four-year
Visitor Economy Recovery and Reform plan was launched at the Victorian Tourism Conference at the Melbourne Conference and Exhibition Centre on Wednesday, with the conference itself a significant milestone as the largest gathering hosted at the venue since the pandemic.
The plan details support for a quick recovery for the domestic market and a framework to build a resilient sector that enables long-term growth.
It is underpinned by an investment of $633 million and serves as a whole-of-state strategy, with a goal of achieving $35 billion in annual visitor expenditure supporting 300,000 jobs by June 2024.
