The Wyoming State Board of Education (SBE) will meet via the Zoom online platform at 9 a.m. on Jan. 22. The board will discuss several items prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic, which include state accountability exceptions and alternative schedules for the 2020-21 school year.
The SBE will take action on requests submitted by school districts for an exception to the state’s accountability system. All 48 districts requested the exception for the 2020-21 school year, because of the inability to administer the statewide assessment in the 2019-20 school year due to COVID-19.
The board will also consider requests for alternative schedules for the 2020-21 school year. Districts requesting approval include Sublette #1 and Fremont #14.
