Abilene police arrest man who jumped in random vehicle
A man jumped into a random vehicle in south Abilene Sunday evening, claiming Angelina Jolie and Keanu Reeves were chasing him, according to a police report.
During the incident at about 6:35 p.m. at Edgemont Drive and South Treadaway Boulevard, the suspect continued to rant about these people trying to kill him and hearing voices, the report said.
An officer noted that the suspect indicated signs of intoxication on an unspecified ingredient.
The suspect was arrested for public intoxication and taken to Taylor County Jail. The officers also requested that the suspect be screened after he came off his intoxication to ensure there are no additional mental health issues that may need to be treated, the report said.
