STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. A three-story child-care center with a rooftop playground that will be equipped to accommodate 245 children is being built on Hylan Boulevard in Grant City, the Advance/SILive.com has learned.

The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Sunday said the newly constituted five-member Crisis Management Group (CMG) would monitor the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation in the union territory and take preventive, control, and mitigation measures to slow the spread of the disease.
Lt Governor Manoj Sinha constituted the CMG comprising Chief Secretary, Financial Commissioners â Finance, and Health and Medical Education; Home Secretary and Principal Secretary, Public Works (Roads and Buildings) Department, at a high-level meeting here on Saturday.

In mid-March, Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan unveiled what supports called historic fair housing legislation. The Common Council discussed the measure this week.
Under the proposed law, the Buildings Department can intervene and make repairs rather than declare a structure unsafe, displacing the residents. Negligent or absentee landlords would be billed for the cost of repairs.
Sheehan, a Democrat running for a third term, says the measure also would make it harder for landlords to evict tenants: there would have to be a good cause.
That good cause clause came under scrutiny Monday night, with several landlords and tenants voicing concerns. Among them, Emma Smith.
