On the market: Private island with helipad in Stamford listed for $14.5M

On the market: Private island with helipad in Stamford listed for $14.5M Andrew DaRosa FacebookTwitterEmail While COVID may have dampened travel plans to tropical beaches, those who are looking to get away can now purchase their own private island here in Connecticut. Caritas Island, also known as Greenaway Island, is part of the private waterfront compound of Wallacks Point in Stamford. The property was recently listed for $14.5M. Since the estate s inception in 1909, Caritas Island has only seen three owners - most notably John A. Morgan, great-grandson of the famous banker J.P. Morgan and great, great-grandson of former U.S. President John Quincy Adams. A founding member of the Communist Party of America also has resided at the estate.

Stranded on the rocks of ‘Israel exceptionalism’ By Sally Bland - Mar 15,2021 - Last updated at Mar 31,2021 The Movement and the Middle East: How the Arab-Israeli Conflict Divided the American Left Michael R. Fischbach Pp. 297   This is a companion piece to Michael Fischbach’s earlier book, “Black Power and Palestine” (2019), covering roughly the same time period, the 1960s and 1970s, but with a different focus. While the subject matter of the earlier book is obvious from the title, the movement analysed in this new book is the broad array of (mainly white) organisations and individuals that united around opposition to the US war in Vietnam and the struggle for radical change in America.
