The poular Ocean Lab cafe is now serving alcohol but has no intention of turning into a pub or a bar Goodwick s Ocean Lab has no intention of becoming a seafront pub, but has applied for and been granted an alcohol licence in order to increase its offer. As reported in the Western Telegraph, the Ocean Lab café applied to Pembrokeshire County Council to serve alcohol from 11am to 11pm seven days a week. However, owner Judith Cresswell has said that she does not intend to stay open until 11pm every night, only on the rare occasion that the popular seaside venue might be used for a late function like a fundraiser, quiz night or curry night.

Photo: HAV Design AS HAV Design signed a contract for two new battery-powered ferries, making them the thirteenth and fourteenth ferry designs with zero-emission technology from the company. The two new  HAV 934 ferries will operate on the Stranda-Liabygda and Eidsdal-Linge routes with a capacity of 80 cars and 249 passengers. They will be built at the Turkish shipyard Tersan for Fjord1. In the work on the design, HAV Design runs route simulation and hull optimization at HAV Ocean Lab. Large quantities of data on both the ferry design and the individual route are used to create a virtual model of the area and a digital twin of the ferries.

Reef restoration experiments in Florida have never been replicated on such a large scale before, with 24 outplanting sites spanning from Martin County down the coast of southeast Florida to Key West. The purpose of this project is to determine the fate of corals that are susceptible to stony coral tissue loss disease when outplanted across Florida’s coral reef where the disease is still present but no longer found in epidemic proportions.
