THE popular RIDE Cymru motorcycle event will return to Denbighshire in 2021. The annual event, first started by Jason Lewis of Corwen in 2012, is a charity fundraiser which collects funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and other charities too. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, the event which has collected a total of £121,000 in the space of nine years, will be making a socially-distanced return in the new year. The 10th edition of the event will see entries limited to 50 motorcyclists, who will be joined by Elspeth Beard (the first British woman to motorcycle around the world) and Stereophonics guitarist Richard Jones. The RIDE Cymru event follows the 1,070 mile outer perimeter lanes of Wales.
