Evan Dando of the Lemonheads, the Boston band behind early ’90s alt-rock staples like “Into Your Arms,” “It’s a Shame About Ray,” and that spirited cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s “Mrs. Robinson,” lost his wallet this weekend. So he did what anyone with a sizeable audience of people nostalgic for the indie scenes of yore would do: He asked Twitter for help.
“I dropped my wallet on the way from the Mariner,” the 53-year-old posted, referring to the Mariner Motel in Falmouth. “Please have a look if you are on them streets” he asked. Advertisement
Turns out, it worked! Within 15 minutes of Dando’s request, Walgreens employee Mike Ghelfi replied to the singer and let him know that his wallet was turned in to the staff, assuring him that it’d be kept in the office safe.
