The Barleycorn, Slough Another much-missed pub during lockdown is The Barleycorn in Cippenham. It doesn t need saving as it s set to reopen like other pubs but people would love it to receive extra money. Many Slough readers said they d happily nominate this pub for the Community Fund to help give it a boost following the COVID-19 pandemic.

Caversham s The Last Crumb delivering pizzas to customers across the nation

The Last Crumb in Caversham A RESTAURANT in Caversham is offering customers across the country the chance to enjoy its wood fired pizzas from home. The Last Crumb on Prospect Street is run by Dodo Pub Co. which is allowing people to order its pizzas to cook at home during lockdown. The Last Crumb is currently closed due to Covid restrictions and its website explains it is planning on bringing back a takeaway menu very soon . The nearly cooked home bake pizza toppings include Margherita, chorizo piccante, vegan Margherita and truffle fungi. Leo Johnson is the co-founder of the Dodo brand and said the pizza delivery service is really important for us at the moment adding it is one of our only sources of income .
