Protest against the government for reducing their perks in Sixth Pay Commission
LUDHIANA: Doctors at various government hospitals of the district went on a three-day strike on Monday to protest against the government for reducing their perks in Sixth Pay Commission. On the first day of the strike, doctors boycotted OPDs and all other activities, except emergency cases and Covid duty. They also burnt the copies of the Sixth Pay Commission report while raising slogans against the Punjab government.

LUDHIANA: The police on Sunday busted a gang that forged Aadhaar cards. The accused were running the illegal trade from a telecommunication shop in New Mahavir Colony of Sahnewal.
The arrested are Jaswinder Singh of Lohara and Dheeraj Kumar of Sahnewal. Jaswinder owned a shop named Akash Telecom in New Mahavir Colony.
Kanganwal police post in-charge ASI Gagandeep Singh said, “We received information that the accused were selling forged Aadhaar cards. They also possess fake stamps to make forged ID proofs. We conducted a raid at the shop and arrested the duo. We have recovered fake stamps and machines used in making forged Aadhaar cards.”

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Sunday conducted searches at properties in Uttar Pradesh s Meerut and arrested an arms trafficker, who was involved in an extortion case, in which Khalistani terrorists are also named.
