Hanauma Bay reopens after city repairs sewage pump Hanauma Bay By HNN Staff | March 16, 2021 at 10:15 PM HST - Updated March 19 at 7:42 PM HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve will reopen Saturday after crews finished repairing a sewage pump. Officials discovered the malfunctioning pump Tuesday evening. The malfunctioning pump serves all of the nature preserve’s bathroom facilities. City crews and a contractor worked Wednesday to troubleshoot the issue, but were unable to verify the cause of the failure. Heavy equipment was brought in Thursday to help fix the pump. I want to bring my family in because everyone is all cooped up at home for so long.â A karaoke night out with their family would be something really fun to do. But, unfortunately I had to say these are the rules,â Lin said.

He’s going to cross the Pacific on a hydrofoil board with a wing. Alone. If all goes according to plan, he’ll leave the coast of California from Half Moon Bay in June, wing across the Pacific, and end up on Oahu in July. He’s estimating it’ll take him around 50 days, completely unassisted. Bertish is an incredibly accomplished human being. He’s done more in his life than most, and he’s done those things because he simply refuses to quit. It’s an old cliché, but the saying “failure is not an option” could have first been uttered about him. He’s a champion big wave surfer, a stand-up paddle world-record holder, a waterman par excellence, an author, a motivational speaker, and a staunch environmentalist.

The events will be held on Monday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Waialua Community Association and Hauula Community Association. At the events, eligible residents can receive disaster financial assistance, temporary housing assistance for those displaced by flooding, food, water and emotional and spiritual care.
