Some much-needed resiliency has put the Cleveland Indians in position to beat the Cincinnati Reds and win a fourth straight series.
Two days removed from being no-hit for the second time this season, the Indians aim for a second consecutive victory over the visiting Reds on Sunday.

But in the coming days, the Republican has hinted he might set a new benchmark for lifting things like indoor capacity limits on bars, restaurants, music venues and sporting events, and that benchmark will most likely revolve around getting more Ohioans vaccinated.

Jose Ramirez had two hits, including a solo home run, and three RBIs to back six strong innings from Shane Bieber and lift the visiting Cleveland Indians to a 5-3 victory against the Chicago White Sox on Friday night.
Cleveland was out-hit 8-5 but still managed to secure its fourth win in five games. Ramirez drilled a solo home run in the eighth to create a cushion and put the Indians ahead by the final margin.
Emmanuel Clase pitched the ninth for his fifth save in six opportunities, as three Cleveland relievers combined to retire nine of the 10 batters they faced, including three via strikeout.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) A dispute over the purchase of voting machines tied to unfounded allegations of fraud in the 2020 presidential election has reached the Ohio Supreme Court.
At issue before the high court is a feud over the purchase of Denver-based Dominion Voting Systems machines between the bipartisan elections board in Stark County and that northeastern county’s GOP-dominated board of commissioners.
Dominion machines became a flashpoint during the election because of unfounded allegations that the company changed votes through algorithms in its voting machines that had been created in Venezuela to rig elections for the late dictator Hugo Chavez.
