KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) â A Kalamazoo County Sheriffâs Deputy will not face any charges after being cleared in a fatal December shooting, according to County Prosecutor Jeff Getting.
Shortly before 7 a.m. on December 18, police were called to a residential home on Morningstar Way in Kalamazoo, and Deputy Michael Leeger was the first to respond.
The call came in to dispatchers about a suicidal person armed with a knife. The report says that call came from his mother and her partner, who were also stabbed with a kitchen knife.
