Five people have been injured after a chemical spill in Christchurch.
Emergency services were called to the incident just off Lunns Rd in Middleton shortly after 12.30pm today.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said four fire trucks and a hazmat unit attended.

A St John spokesman said five people suffered moderate injuries, but none required hospital treatment.
Firefighters contained the spill at about 2.30pm but a cordon around the area was still in place at 3pm.
