The Oregon State Beavers football program has planned one of the busiest recruiting months in program history for June, hosting top targets every weekend after a 15-month, NCAA-mandated emergency dead period in response to COVID-19.
Arguably the headliner visitor list, at least so far, is 247Sports four-star prospect David Bailey, the nation’s No. 53 overall prospect and 4 outside linebacker.

It didn’t take long for the coaching staff to find a replacement.
On Friday, Minnesota transfer Keonte Schad announced his commitment to the Beavers in a decision that could lead to early playing time:
The 6-foot-3, 295-pound defensive tackle, originally out of Madison, Wisconsin, played two seasons for the Gophers, highlighted by a 13-game, 20-tackle campaign in 2019.
Last season, Schad appeared in four games.
He was suited up for the Minnesota spring game earlier this month, but did not participate and entered the NCAA’s transfer portal in the following days.
Eagles claim RB Kerryon Johnson off waivers from Lions By Zac Wassink | Last updated 5/7/21
Amid reports that the Detroit Lions planned to release running back Kerryon Johnson, general manager Brad Holmes said Thursday that the situation was a work in progress.
That s no longer the case.
On Friday, the Philadelphia Eagles confirmed they have claimed Johnson off waivers from the Lions. Johnson became surplus to requirements in Detroit after the club signed Jamaal Williams to partner with 2020 rookie D Andre Swift and then selected Oregon State Beavers ball-carrier Jermar Jefferson in the seventh round of this year s draft.
Johnson, 23, entered the NFL when Detroit drafted him in the second round in 2018, and he rushed for 641 yards his debut season. Little by little, we’ve seen every NBA team allow a certain amount of fans back into arenas this season – well, except for the Portland Trail Blazers.
Portland is the only NBA organization to have not had a fan attend a single game this season. Why? Just when the Trail Blazers were preparing to allow a certain amount of guests to attend home games at the Moda Center, several counties in the state of Oregon upped its risk level in response to growing COVID-19 cases. Gov. Kate Brown spearheaded the decision.

Rated the No. 111 player nationally and the No. 22 small forward, the 6-foot-6, 190-pound wing elected to put an end to his recruitment Monday evening, committing to the Oregon State Beavers:
Taylor Jr. is the highest-rated Oregon State pledge since Ethan Thompson (No. 37 overall) in the class of 2017.
“Versatile wing with good size and length. Plus frame with plenty of room to get stronger. Best as a slasher due to body control and high level touch around the basket. Streaky shooter who is more of a weapon off the bounce. Sees the court very well and has a high basketball IQ. Size and length give him chance to be multiple positional defender. Late-bloomer who should ultimately be starter at high major level.”
