The statewide reopening of museums at full capacity on May 19 should provide a boost to tourism for any number of Upstate venues. And, along with paying visits to our many and varied museums, visitors also no doubt will be paying restaurants located near them.

Our search for Michigan’s Best Inland Lake is underway, and we’ve gotten over 60 nominations for fabulous lakes all over the state.
Judging from the many comments that we’ve gotten, it’s clear that Michigander’s love to be out on the water, in every way.
We’ve heard from MLive readers about our lakes with “clear water, beautiful shore lines”, “great fishing”, “sandy bottom”, “easy to get to”, and “great for boating”. It seems like each and every lake offers something unique and special.

The General Clinton Canoe Regatta on the Susquehanna River features four days of racing, with the main event a 70 miler taking place on Memorial Day.

COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. The General Clinton Canoe Regatta, billed as the longest flatwater canoe day race in the country, will be held virtually on Memorial Day Weekend this year.
The 70-mile race, which each year draws hundreds of professional and amateur entrants from across the state and beyond , is traditionally held on Memorial Day. It is the main attraction during a fun-filled weekend that includes minor races and other events. It begins in Cooperstown on Otsego Lake and follows the Susquehanna River down to Bainbridge.
