COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. -- The General Clinton Canoe Regatta, billed as the longest flatwater canoe day race in the country, will be held virtually on Memorial Day Weekend this year.
The 70-mile race, which each year draws hundreds of professional and amateur entrants from across the state and beyond , is traditionally held on Memorial Day. It is the main attraction during a fun-filled weekend that includes minor races and other events. It begins in Cooperstown on Otsego Lake and follows the Susquehanna River down to Bainbridge.
