Prophet arrested for allegedly defiling 17-year-old girl in Ogun

A 50-year-old Prophet in charge of one Cherubim & Seraphim Church, Oke-igbala in Ifo area of Ogun State, Tayo Shobowale, is presently cooling his heels at the police cell for allegedly defiling a 17-year-old girl.
The Ogun State Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed to DAILY POST that Shobowale was arrested following a report lodged at the Family Support Unit of Ota Area Command by the victim.
The teenage girl who was accompanied to the police station by her mother, had reported that, sometime in March 2021, the prophet invited her to the church for a prayer session.

Two Chinese miners abducted on Monday at a mining site located at Ifewara, Osun State have been released.
The duo, Messrs Zhao Jian, 33 and When, 50, were abducted at Okepa/Itikan village, a gold mining site in Ifewara, Atakunmosa West Local Government Area of Osun State.
DAILY POST reported that around 4pm on Monday, some gunmen attacked and abducted the duo and shot their two private guards.
However, the Police Command on Wednesday said that the kidnappers demanded N10 million as ransom.
But the spokesperson of Osun Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, on Thursday, confirmed that the Chinese were rescued at about 9pm on Wednesday.
Man burns ex-lover, two children to death in Ibadan

A man, identified as Ahmed Saka, on Wednesday set his ex-lover, Mutiat Oladele, and her two children ablaze at Shogoye, Idi-Arere area of Ibadan, Oyo State.
NAN reports that Olugbenga Fadeyi, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state told newsmen that Mutiat and Saka, had been lovers before the woman ended the relationship.
According to him, Saka had threatened to end his life and that of Mutiat because she called off their relationship.
“The man went to set the house of his ex-lover ablaze because the woman said she was no longer interested in the relationship.

Unknown gunmen at the early hours of Thursday attacked the Mbieri Police Division in Imo State.
The command’s spokesman, SP Orlando Ikeokwu confirmed the attack to newsmen in Owerri on Thursday, NAN reports.
He said officers of the Division repelled the bandits after a gun battle, preventing them from carrying out their dastardly act.
Ikeokwu said two police officers sustained injuries in the process and were currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
According to him, no officer was abducted in the attack and no loss of arms as well.
Recall that the Isiala-Mbano Police Division, Ehime-Mbano, Obowo, Ihite-Uboma, Mbieri as well as the police headquarters have all been attacked by unknown gunmen.
