Adams Co Health Dept Expands Who Can Get COVID Vaccine

The Adams County Health Department Monday announced that it would open up COVID vaccine registration to anyone who lives in the state of Illinois and is eligible for the vaccine under Phase 1B.
That would include anyone 65 or older, teachers and front line grocery workers.

16 New COVID-19 Cases in Adams County Monday
The Adams County Health Department reports 16 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 Monday.
This brings the Adams County case total to 7,717, with 210 active, 26 hospitalized age 40s to 90s, two in intensive care and 107 deaths.
The preliminary seven-day positivity rate for cases as a percent of total tests continues to fall, now at 3.01%.
Anyone who lives in, works in or visits Adams County is encouraged to visit the free COVID rapid testing site at the Oakley Lindsay Center.

As we move into the new year and continue to battle the COVID-19 virus, one of the main sources for combating the virus the Rapid Testing site in Quincy is on the move from the former Shopko parking lot to the Oakley Lindsay Center.
According to a post on the Adams County Health Department s Facebook page (you can see the full post if you click here) the Rapid Testing Site is moving to the Oakley Lindsay Center. In the post they say. Beginning Sunday, January 10, the COVID-19 rapid drive-thru testing site will be relocated to the Oakley Lindsay Center at 300 Civic Center Plaza in Quincy. This relocation is to prepare for upcoming mass COVID-19 vaccination. The move will allow resources to align and ensure a smooth process for both COVID-19 testing and vaccination all in one location. Individuals wishing to be tested should enter the testing site at 4th and York.
