Derek Riggs and Jake Myers were shot while trying to help a man who they thought was a stranded motorist on I-40 in Sequoyah County Saturday night, July 17.Riggs was shot multiple times in the torso and Myers was shot in the face. Updated: 1:50 PM CDT May 4, 2021 KOCO Staff Agents with the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation said they shut down a criminal marijuana growing operation Tuesday morning in Erick, Oklahoma. OBN officials said this is directly connected to a similar operation they shut down on April 23 in Guthrie. “This is all tied of criminal organizations moving hundreds of pounds of marijuana onto the black market under the guise of a ‘medical marijuana’ farm,” OBN Spokesman Mark Woodward said in a Facebook post.Related Video Above: Rural Guthrie medical marijuana grow operation sold to black market, narcotics bureau saysWoodward told KOCO 5 that they detained and interviewed seven people who were at the property. The Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation is investigating an attack of a police officer in Davis, Oklahoma.
Authorities said an unknown suspect attacked the officer around 11 p.m. Sunday, May 2 at the police department.
The officer was taken to an area hospital and was treated and released.
