A man was taken into custody Tuesday after he returned to the northwest Oklahoma City gas station where he caused a tanker explosion the day before.
Police said 21-year-old Kevin Oloba faces several complaints of assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
“Shortly before 2 a.m. the same OnCue called in and said, ‘Hey this guy is back,’” said MSgt. Gary Knight, Oklahoma City Police Department.
Knight said Oloba showed up at the OnCue near northwest 164th and North Portland, the same place he allegedly tried to run over a store clerk on Monday.

OSBI leaders address the slow crackdown on rape kit testing

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. â Top leaders of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation released details on the status of rape kit testing and described what resources they have and do not have in addressing the backlog.
The OSBI, the Tulsa Police Department, and the Oklahoma City Police Department grapple with thousands of untested kits.
The state agency has jurisdiction over 2,200 untested rape kits. They make up a backlog that has grown for more than 30 years.
âWe know these cases are going to identify serial rapists, theyâre going to identify murderers, theyâre going to identify people that were assaulted years ago,.â said Ricky Adams, OSBI director.

“She was confronted by two individuals. She does not know these individuals,” said Oklahoma City Police Department spokesman Sgt. Dillon Quirk.
