Kevin Stitt has filed a lawsuit against the Biden administration over the state s right to regulate mining in eastern Oklahoma.The lawsuit is the newest chapter in the legal battle over tribal sovereignty after the U.S. Supreme Court s McGirt ruling. Stitt has been very clear recently that he wants to completely overturn the McGirt decision, which led to courts finding that the Five Tribes of Oklahoma still have reservations today.
