Talk About Oak Harbor: Eberle tapped for Lions Club honor
Linda Hartigan
Congratulations to ShirLee Eberle, who was honored as Lion of the Year in Zone 1 of District 13-OH 2.
Congratulations also to the other members of the Oak Harbor Lions Club who nominated her without her knowledge and kept it a secret until her name was announced at the recent district convention.
In fact, Eberle thought the Oak Harbor Club failed to nominate anyone as it was skipped while nominations from others clubs in Zone 1 were announced.
She was flabbergasted when her name was announced. She also was thrilled, honored and amazed. As a three-year member of the Lions, Eberle thought she was too new of a member to be considered.
