For the first time in more than a year, kids in Newark are back in the classroom.
Students who opted in for in-person learning are beginning a hybrid model. They will be in school two days a week and will learn remotely the other three days.
Safety and social distancing protocols are in place. That includes having desks separated by six feet and having clear partitions surround the desks. Masks are also required, except when students are eating.

Are you getting your vaccine soon and nervous about the side effects?
Experts are saying that your food intake before and after can help reduce anything you might feel after. So what helps? A healthy diet of vegetables, fruits, and whole grains and protein sources like fish, poultry, and eggs is recommended. Try and avoid red meat and dairy before the appointment.
They also say a high-fiber diet can help build the immune system and a low glycemic index diet will help keep blood sugar levels steady. Ginger tea can also help with your stomach after the vaccine. Doctors recommend not doing anything drastic like juicing or detox.
