West Ham have brought in 18-year-old Mel Filis, an ever-present midfielder with London Bees in the FA Women’s Championship last season.
Filis came through the ranks at Arsenal, making her senior Gunners debut in December 2018 at the age of 16 and has also represented England at U-17 and U-19 levels.
She told West Ham TV: “I’m looking forward to coming into the environment as a young player to really kick-off my pro career and play in the WSL. I like the intensity of the playing style, which will really suit me because I like to play a high energy game. I’m really excited to get going and can’t wait to get the season underway.”
