Although no release date for the new season of
Bridgerton has been confirmed, Netflix announced via Twitter on 16 February that Simone Ashley will be joining the cast for season two.
Ashley will appear as Kate Sharma, the new love interest of Anthony Bridgerton, played by Jonathan Bailey. Kate is described as “a smart, headstrong young woman who suffers no fools Anthony Bridgerton very much included”.
