Sex Education star Simone Ashley has been cast as the female lead in the second series of Bridgerton, Netflix has said. The British actress, who plays Olivia Hanan in Sex Education and also starred in series three of Broadchurch, will appear as Kate in the next instalment of the wildly popular period drama, which focuses on the trials in love of the eight children of the Bridgerton family.
